Yesterday was our first lesson in the work shop. My partner Amy was away so i had to do the work by myself so it was abit more slower than everyone else. What we did was watch Mr Ward on how to make the base of our hotel. What we are usuing for the base is a hard piece of wood, not timber because it needs to be strong and not break. What we did was firstly made sure the piece of wood was square then we put 3 nails on each side of the square. After putting the nails half way it was the end of the lesson so i was unable to put all pieces of long strips of wood to my square of wood. Next lesson i will be putting all strips of wood onto the square and glueing them, then i will sand papaer the sides so everything is smooth and even.
The first picture is a lake or river etc which can be used in the projects that we are doing. Amy and i have chose to so this in a large space in our project as we have alot of water space. This is done by the router and mixing PVA glue with a small but of blue paint.
The send picture is of a mountain which is done by using scrunched news paper and chicken wire covering it. Amy and i will also be doing this in our project as we have a mountain and a water fountain doing down it.
